I have occasionally wondered, and heard others speculate, why The Intelligent Designer created such a vast, apparently limitless ocean of space, overflowing with numberless stars and wondrous objects of immense proportions and power.  And all surrounding what is in comparison this tiny dot of dust we call home.  

During these days of doubters we hear, ‘There must be other living beings out there.  It is too large to host only we humans.  It is arrogant to think we are the only ones.’

And even from the proper perspective of intelligent design, one must wonder, why so vast?

This is the answer.  To demonstrate to every human being who has the ability to lift his eyes, no matter when on the planet, or where, the full measure of their Creator.

The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard. Their [measuring] line has gone out through all the earth, and their utterances to the end of the world. (Psalms 19:1-4)

What if it’s real, my friend?
