The Conclusion When All Has Been Heard
It seems to me that a very lot of people have aligned themselves with and put their faith in the teachings of a majority of scientists and other very smart men and women.
Today’s Common Explanation
These scientists are often, but not always, highly educated, intelligent and inquisitive people. Based on their observations and studies of the evidence available to them, they have concluded that our planet, all the life therein, and the entire universe is the result of a naturally occurring happenstance of events. I think this is commonly referred to as the Big Bang theory.
For me, this explanation is inconsistent with the evidence I see.
An Alternative
There is another explanation. A fewer number of people have aligned themselves with and put their faith in the teachings of a minority of the scientists and other smart men and women.
These scientists are often, but not always, highly educated, intelligent and inquisitive people. Based on their observations and studies of the evidence available to them, they have concluded that our planet, all the life therein, and the entire universe shows evidence of intelligent design, which of course implies the existence of a designer – a creator.
When I survey the beauty, consistency, inter-dependency, incredible diversity of life on planet earth, along with the logical explanations of the sciences, I find with regard to my conscience that I have no choice but to align myself with the minority.
The Final Determination
I have concluded there is an Intelligent Designer. The hard observable facts leave me no choice. But there is more …
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained;
O LORD, our Lord,
How majestic is Your name in all the earth! (Ps 8:3,9)
For since the creation of the world [Your] invisible attributes, [Your] eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that [we] are without excuse. (Romans 1:20)
.
Thank you for this. My life has also felt like I am going forward then back, then over and over…
Thanks, Jen. I think over the long term we all have the ups and downs, the times of faith and those of questions. But God is faithful always. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
